Traditional meetings of astronomers at Bezovec will write their 59th chapter in 2027. The main focus of the conference, which will be held from 27 to 29 May 2027<\/strong>, will be the presentation of the scientific research activities of young astronomers<\/strong>, mainly university students.<\/em><\/p>\n

Conferences on the achievements of stellar astronomy are among the prominent events organized annually by the Slovak Astronomical Society<\/a> and the Observatory and Planetarium of M. R. \u0160tef\u00e1nik in Hlohovec<\/a>. These meetings have traditionally enabled the exchange of experience between professional astronomers and those interested in variable star observations as well as other areas of astrophysics from students, young people actively working in astronomical clubs, and also the staff of observatories and planetariums from all over Slovakia.<\/p>\n

In 2020<\/a>, we expanded the focus of the conference and gave space to the staff of Slovak observatories to present the results of their activities in various areas of astronomical research. The conference’s central theme in 2021<\/a>, 2023<\/a> and 2025<\/a> was the presentation of scientific research activities of young astronomers. The subject of the 2022<\/a> conference was the presentation of new scientific as well as older, lesser-known findings in the history of astronomy. The conference on astronomical research in Slovakia in 2024<\/a> was held as part of the event \u0160tef\u00e1nik and Science<\/a>. The main theme of the conference in 2026<\/a> was the presentation of the astronomical research based on satellite data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The traditional Bezovec conference will be held on May <\/strong>27 – 29,<\/strong> 2027, <\/strong>in the Guesthouse on Bezovec<\/a>.\u00a0The\u00a0<\/span>Faculty of Science of the P. J. \u0160af\u00e1rik University in Ko\u0161ice<\/a>, the\u00a0<\/span>Faculty of Mathematics, Physics, and Informatics of Comenius University in Bratislava<\/a>, and the\u00a0<\/span>Czech Astronomical Society<\/a>\u00a0will also participate in its preparation and organization. The conference is organized in cooperation with the\u00a0<\/span>Astronomical Institute of the Slovak Academy of Sciences<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The main theme of the conference will be the\u00a0presentation of the scientific research activities of young astronomers\u00a0<\/span>in various fields of astronomical research. In particular, students from all levels of university studies are invited to the conference to present the results of their research achieved not only during the preparation of their theses. In addition to the presentations, participants can also discuss the possibilities of mutual cooperation in astronomical research.<\/p>\n

Contributions can be presented in the form of preview talks, conference talks, short communications, exhibitions, posters, and roll-up displays. The preferred conference language is English, which is obligatory for the preparation of presentations and posters.<\/p>\n
